The presentation and discussion will provide information about the general Federal Procurement and Defence procurement. Procurement officials will be available to provide insights and take questions. Public Services and Procurement Canada are pleased to invite you to an Ontario Indigenous business information session. This session is in support of the Government of Canada’s efforts to meet and exceed the target of awarding 5% of the value of all federal contracts, including subcontracts, to Indigenous businesses.

The Ontario Indigenous business information session will take place online on January 18, 2023, from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm (Eastern Standard Time).


The topics for this session will include:

• An overview of the 5% objective for Indigenous procurement, the Procurement Strategy for Indigenous Business, and information on the Indigenous Business Directory

• Information on upcoming federal procurement opportunities for construction-related projects

• Support services and programs to assist Indigenous businesses and organizations

IDEaS will support the development of solutions from their conceptual stage, through prototype testing and capability development.
